The grooviest boat you may ever see, ‘Long Boat’ has a terracotta body with circular, wiggly decoration that continues across two curved flags and a single candlestick slot. Contrasting to the beautiful, naturally rich tone of terracotta, off-white, green, light blue and burnt orange hand-painted shapes have been added for a fun, stand out effect across the design.

Inspired by the Tate + DARN collaboration, ceramic artist and designer Alice Johnson has created a very special collection of ceramics for us.

Taking note from the works of British fisherman and artist Alfred Wallis, each boat and fish has its own character with Alice’s humorous and nostalgic touch. Designed and made in London, materials such as terracotta, porcelain slip and glaze, combined with a slap build technique, have been used to bring charming shapes and textures to life.

Alice's signature style evokes a sense of joy, so we know this collection will bring a smile to your face! A pro at creating wobbly pots, ceramic bits n bobs and pottery pets, Alice Johnson is based between London and Stroud.
